TED Talk: How Algorithms Shape Our World Here's a terrific TED talk by Kevin Slavin focusing on automated trading. I've been writing and speaking about how XBRL will interact with the world of automated trading and how that pushes, or should push, data quality to the top of the priority list for companies reporting to the SEC for a while now. But the SEC is still complaining about things like issuers not getting the plus and minus signs right in the data. It's a combustible mix.
